BWTM Coopers Plains presently operates 72 taxis. The majority are standard licences with sedans and wagons. BWTM also operates 5 people mover licences.
The Coopers Plains Taxi Base commenced operations in early 2003 for the purpose of operating taxi leases sub let from Black & White Cabs and managing licences for Investors. During this period the fleet has grown to its present 72 vehicles and 180 drivers. The base has recently relocated to 45-49 Rosedale Street, Coopers Plains in a purpose built premises that has set the benchmark for taxi operations in Australia. The facility also caters for driver training for Black & White Cabs Drivers. Coopers Plains has a young and energetic staff who understand that their driving personnel are paramount to the success of their taxi base. The staff are extremely proud of their new premises and invite you for a guided tour.
The fleet operates two types of vehicles :
• The Toyota Camry Hybrid
• The Hyundai Diesel Imax
Driver Display Cards
The new driver display card holders have been installed in the cars. Drivers should remember that as of the 1st of December it is a transport requirement that these be on display while you are driving a cab. Drivers should also note that a temporary card may be issued by Black & White Cabs if theirs happens to be stolen/lost. If this does occur contact the shift manager at Black & White Cabs call centre.
